About
Ella Reddicliffe is an emerging writer, production designer and filmmaker from Brisbane, Queensland. She recently graduated from Queensland University of Technology, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, (Film, Screen and New Media) with a minor in creative writing.
While in her final year, Ella has undertaken writing roles across Narrative and Documentary productions, including Charlotte Pass (2025) and Fortitude (2025). She has also explored other ways of visual storytelling in Shrooms (2025) as the Production Designer. She has also worked on Afterparty (2025) and Almost Afraid (2026) which were created for the 48 Hour Film Challenge and Take48. These productions have reinforced her drive for creative storytelling and has only grown her desire to expand knowledge and understanding of filmmaking in general.
More recently, Ella has worked as a 2nd Assistant Director on Gorilla, Guerrilla, a 20-minute one-shot film that set on a film set in the jungle that is 3 months behind schedule. She has also worked on her first feature film, Bloodbag (Dir. Pearce Hoskinson), as a Script Supervisor and Production Assistant.
Ella is driven by a passion to amplify voices that are often overlooked, creating space on screen for those who rarely see themselves represented. By delving into the complexities of humans, she strives to encourage a deeper understanding of shared human experience through meaningful storylines and complex characters.
She draws inspiration from many creatives, including Mike Flanagan, Greta Gerwig and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and their ability to intertwine quirky and complex subject matters and characters. She is enticed by all genres, but she has a deep connection to Australian gothic, drama, comedy and psychological horror / thriller.
